About
Get involved in Research Exchange Program (REP / IRES) in Turkey over 1-2 weeks with field work in remote areas of East Europe. Participate in Analog Mission and Explore planet science analogues,Volcanic and extreme environments similar to Mars and other worlds. Summit one of highest Mountain peaks in Europe, Apply sampling, mineral analysis, Geochemistry, biology, soil analysis, and more. With field equipment, characterize how biology and minerals adapt in extreme environments.

Schedule
Cohort is immersed in a blend of 1 week online to prepare and 1 week afterward to reflect on research and data analysis. The Course is designed to fit the schedule of graduate and undergraduate students during Summer break and toward young professionals. Attendance for most lectures and activities on-site is mandatory to receive Certificate.

Applied Research in the Field
Roadtrip to Analog Turkey Destinations (Ulubey, Lakes Salda, Cappadocia) and camping. Learn and apply geology mineral analysis, sampling, Geochemistry, soil analysis, and more. Use and apply Radar Systems in situ in field expeditions with data analysis. Develop hypothesis and implement research experiment in the field. In collaborating with space agencies, each team applies hands toward opensource science important for Earth, planetary science, and beyond.

Tuition & Financial Aid
Tuition Covers Acommodation, local pickup & Meal expenses onsite. Transportation is provided to/from IAC26 and nearby destinations with group travel. Additional Expenses covered includes Comprehensive in-country day to day support and guidance, Equipment Software, Certificate and Tuition.50%+ scholarships are available with flexible payment plans.

We will review your application and will begin sending rolling notices in Summer 2026 by Review Committee. We recommend applying beforehand on earlier side. Note that even if you don’t have budget, scholarships may be made available to cover tuition expenses to participate in Program. While the Institution may later become accredited, we maintain academic standards and intensity with review from Expedition leaders and scientists.
